Roasted Bone Marrow

I honestly had no idea what to expect when I was making this. I’ve always wanted to try it but never had the chance. I eat a lot of weird things, or things that most people would make a face at. For instance, I grew up eating tripe. If you know what that (cow stomach lining) is then you know that the idea of it is gross, but tripe soup is what’s up! So trying bone marrow was just another culinary adventure that I wanted to take. Taylor on the other hand, not super pumped on this one, but he ate more than one bite so it must have not been that bad!

If you’re trying to impress someone, having people over, having a special night in with your significant other, or just trying to treat yourself- you should make this recipe. Really you should make any excuse to make this – it’s that good! It’s also apparently really good for you too? It’s good for joint health, digestion, and it has lots of minerals. I mean, it’s also super fatty, so in moderation, it’s healthy af.

We had this with some toasted bread, but you can have it with fresh bread, stale bread, crackers, really any carb-y vessel will do. Think of this kind of like a butter-y spread, but richer and tastier. So just scoop it out of the bone and spread it on! I also added some caramelized onion to on top to give it another layer of flavour. Whichever way you have it, it’ll be good.

Roasted Bone Marrow

P.S. Not all grocery stores will carry bone marrow, so if you can’t find it try going to a butcher shop, they’ll have it for sure! 100%. If they don’t then you’re obviously at the wrong butcher shop.
